Sudden artistic output.

The man who can’t stop painting. “Wayne Sheppard had never painted until he had a seizure two years ago. Now he can’t stop.”

I saw this BBC report when it come out in 2018, and this story has remained in my mind ever since. It is not clear why Wayne developed this compulsive urge to paint, Dr Alex Forsythe says “…the brain still remains a complex mystery…”. Wayne says “… I had that urge, you know, like someone was guiding me to paint because I was in such a bad way”.

I find this story really fascinating. It seems that none knows why Wayne’s brain is compelling him to paint. He sees this as his body’s (or brain’s) way of finding healing through art.
